Mumbai: Bollywood actress Juhi Chawla was recently fined Rs 20 lakh by the Delhi High Court for filing a petition against the 5G wireless network (5G wireless network case). Apart from the actress, two others were also fined. In such a situation, the hearing on Juhi Chawla’s application has been adjourned in the Delhi High Court today.

Justice Sanjeev Narula has refrained from hearing the case. In a previous hearing, Justice J.R. Midha had said that the court was shocked by the behavior of the petitioner, Juhi and others were not even willing to pay the fine properly. Justice Midha said the court had played a sluggish role and had not served a contempt notice. The actress has not yet paid the fine and it is clear that the actress is not ready to pay the fine yet.

What did the court say?

On June 4, the Delhi High Court dismissed Juhi Chawla’s petition challenging 5G wireless network technology as an abuse of legal process and imposed a fine of Rs 20 lakh on the petitioners. Juhi Chawla had once again moved the Delhi High Court against that.

Ahead of the hearing, the Delhi High Court had also said that the fine was imposed for misusing the legal process in the case filed against Bollywood actress Juhi Chawla and two other 5G-wireless networks.

Not only that, he had also said that the petitioners were not willing to pay the fine respectfully. Judge Midha had said that the court was already silent on the matter and would only impose a fine instead of pursuing a contempt of court case against the petitioner.

The Delhi High Court had fined actress Juhi Chawla and co-petitioners social activists Veeresh Malik and Tina Vachanani Rs 20 lakh and declared the petition “defective” and “against the legal process”.
