Bihar Cricket Affiliation faces BCCI sanctions for defying orders, internet hosting unsanctioned T20 League

New Delhi: The controversy-ridden Bihar Cricket Affiliation (BCA), together with its registered First-Class and Checklist A gamers, are more likely to face powerful sanctions from the BCCI for defying the mum or dad physique’s orders to cease the unsanctioned Bihar Cricket League (BCL).

The BCL was held in Patna from 20-26 March.

“We’ve got reviewed your responses to our queries, and upon cautious consideration, BCCI has determined to not accord its approval to the Bihar Cricket Affiliation (BCA) for conducting its T20 home league cricket event (i.e. BCL), because it doesn’t fulfil/comply the directives of the advisory and tips issued by the BCCI,” the board’s performing CEO Hemang Amin had written to the state physique, clarifying its stand.

The BCCI, in its communication, categorically requested the BCA to cancel the BCL or get able to face sanctions in keeping with the board’s structure.

In recent times, on the advice of its Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU), the BCCI has determined to place a cap on state body-run T20 leagues after a number of circumstances of doubtful possession, uncommon betting patterns emerged.

“What the Bihar CA officers have performed is that they have put the careers of younger gamers in keeping with their defiance. What if BCCI now ban gamers as per Article 31 of structure?
