Paris: China’s Yang Jiayu broke the ladies’s world document for the 20-kilometre stroll by overlaying the gap in 1hr 23min 49sec through the Chinese language Championships in Huangshan on Saturday.

The 2017 world champion on the distance sliced 49s off the outdated document (1hr 24min 38sec) set by fellow Chinese language Liu Hong in 2015.

Yan Jiayu received the nationwide title by beating Liu Hong, the 2016 Olympic gold medallist and 2019 world champion, who completed 11 seconds contained in the outdated document.

Wang Kaihua received the boys’s 20k race in 1hr 16min 54sec, the third-fastest time in historical past and simply 18 seconds in need of Japanese walker Yusuke Suzuki’s world document, set in 2015.
