Corona Update

New Delhi: More than a year and a half has passed since the onset of corona virus infection. New variants of corona virus infection are emerging. A woman in Belgium was infected with corona. Two variants of corona virus infection were found in the body of the concerned woman and the woman also died within the next five days. Scientists are worried after the case of corona infection came to light. The corona crisis is likely to get darker after two variants appear in a woman’s body. Alpha and beta variants in the female body

According to Bloomberg, the 90-year-old woman’s body was found to contain alpha and beta variants at the same time. The woman concerned had not been vaccinated against corona. She was staying at home and receiving treatment for corona. The woman was admitted to OLV Hospital in March after her condition deteriorated.

After the woman was admitted to the hospital, she underwent a corona test and her report came back positive. Initially, the oxygen level in the woman’s body looked good. Later, however, her condition worsened and she died on the fifth day. Following the death of a woman in Belgium, the need for corona vaccination has become apparent. When the hospital administration searched for which variant of the corona the woman was infected with, her body was found to be alpha and beta variants. The alpha variant was first introduced in the UK and the beta variant in South Africa. Scientists say the issue needs to be taken seriously.

What experts think

Molecular biologists at OLV Hospital and Anne Wenkerbergen, speaking on the occasion, said the wave of both variants was prevalent in Belgium at the time the woman concerned was admitted to the hospital. He also said that the woman may have been infected with two variants from different people. The OLV hospital has sent samples to the European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases for further investigation.

In January, Brazilian scientists claimed that several patients in their country had been infected with both variants of the corona at the same time. Venkirbergen also said such cases have been ignored before. There are limitations to the testicles of variants of concern by Venkirbergen. Mutations of variants are identified by genome sequencing, he added. Virologist Young Laurence Young says it is not surprising to find more than one variant in a person’s body.
