According to news agency Reuters, France’s Entrestroch watchdog has accused Alphabet-owned company of disobeying orders. Under this, Google will have to pay compensation for the use of content by French news publishers. The American tech company Google has been given a period of two months for this.
The company will have to submit a proposal within two months to tell news agencies and other publishers how to compensate for the use of their news content. If Google does not do this, it will have to pay an additional 900,000 per day. French news publishers APIG, SEPM and AFP have criticized Google for failing to resolve all issues.
