New Delhi: The Government of India has included Infosys Chairman Nandan Nilekani and National Health Authority CEO RS Sharma in the nine-member advisory committee of the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC). The main objective of ONDC is to promote developed open network on open source method. It also aims to promote e-commerce platforms built using open network protocols.

The government’s Department of Industry and Internal Trade has launched a project called Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), which has been handed over to the Quality Council of India (QCI). The service has been launched with the objective of digitizing the entire value chain, standardizing the entire work and promoting the supplier as well as increasing efficiency in logistics and increasing value for customers.

These people are included in the advisory committee of ONDC

In the ONDC’s advisory committee, the CEO of the National Health Authority, Dr. Along with RS Sharma, Infosys Chairman Nandan Nilekani, Quality Council of India Chairman Adil Zainulbhai, CAIT Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal, Avana Capital founder Anjali Bansal, NPCI MD Dilip Asbe, NSDL MD Suresh Sethi and Retail of India.

Who is Nandan Nilekani?

Nilekani was born on June 2, 1955 in Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka. He was educated at Bishop Cotton Boys School, St. Joseph High School and PU College, Dharwad, Bangalore. He then graduated from IIT Bombay with a degree in Electrical Engineering.

Many honors have been received

Nilekani has been instrumental in providing Aadhaar numbers to 130 crore Indians. He has held several senior positions with Infosys and UIDAI. He was also awarded the Padma Vibhushan in 2006.
