By publishing the schedule of all the competitions, he took a big decision about the local competitions including the Ranji Cup. Mumbai: The Ranji Trophy was canceled last year after decades due to the Corona crisis. Only certain competitions were held which resulted in cancellation of many local competitions. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has said that local cricket will be held this year with all due care for Corona. The BCCI has also announced the schedule of local tournaments to be played in 2021-22. Since then, all the state cricket teams have started preparing for the tournament and the Karnataka State Cricket Team (KSCA) has started preparing. Meanwhile, they have placed an important condition in front of their players.

The Karnataka Cricket Board has made it mandatory for all its players to take at least one dose of corona vaccine before the start of this year’s cricket year. According to Cricket Tracker, the Karnataka State Cricket Team has made it mandatory for its players above the age of 18 to take at least one dose of corona vaccine before joining the tournament. The cricket team has also organized vaccination camps for cricketers.

Over 2000 matches a year

According to the BCCI, a total of 2,127 matches will be played for players of all ages in the 2021-22 season. The Ranji Trophy will be the longest running competition. After the three-month competition, the Vijay Hazare Trophy will be held for a month.
