SBI tweeted, “Don’t download completely unverified apps in such places.” “Your safety is our priority! Here are some security tips that can protect you from personal and financial data theft. The bank has advised its customers to be more cautious in view of the increasing fraud these days.

Bank’s advice to avoid fake apps

Types of fraud are on the rise during the Corona outbreak. In such a situation, people are easily deceived through fake apps. In such a situation many people fall into the trap of thugs. This also raises questions about the bank’s credibility. This is because SBI issues alert notices to its customers from time to time. The bank advised people to stay away from any type of email, SMS, call or embedded link except fake apps.

Consumers are deceived by lure

Last week, a cyber security researcher warned that Chinese-origin hackers were targeting SBI users in a phishing scam. He is asking the customers to update their KYC using the link of the website. After this, they are luring to win prizes of Rs 50 lakh through WhatsApp messages. According to the IANS report, two such cases have come to light. All domains related to this fraud were showing records in China.
