Dubai: Sri Lanka spinner Akila Dananjaya has been cleared of suspect motion and allowed to renew bowling in worldwide cricket following remedial work and re-assessment, the ICC mentioned on Friday.
Dananjaya, who was banned from bowling for one 12 months after being reported throughout a Check match towards New Zealand in Galle from 14 to 18 August in 2019.
“An Professional Panel studied video footage of Dananjaya’s bowling motion supplied by Sri Lanka Cricket, as attendance and evaluation at an ICC accredited centre was not doable as a result of numerous restrictions ensuing from Covid-19,” ICC mentioned in a launch.

Dananjaya was initially suspended from bowling in December 2018.
