Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021: Prithvi Shaw to steer 22-man Mumbai in knock-phase of event
Mumbai: Younger opener Prithvi Shaw will lead a 22-member Mumbai squad for the knock-out part of the Vijay Hazare Trophy nationwide 50-over championship.
The Mumbai Cricket Affiliation named the squad for the knock-outs, which might be performed in New Delhi from 7 March.
The home giants Mumbai remained unbeaten within the league stage and received all their 5 video games in Elite Group D.
Mumbai won’t have the providers of standard skipper Shreyas Iyer, prolific Suryakumar Yadav and pacer Shardul Thakur, who might be away on nationwide obligation.
Other than Shaw, the Mumbai batting line up has younger opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, ‘disaster man’ Siddhesh Lad, skilled wicket-keeper batsman Aditya Tare, Akhil Herwadkar, Sarfaraz Khan and all-rounder Shivam Dube.
The bowling assault might be led by skilled speedster Dhawal Kulkarni and contains pacers Tushar Deshpande and Aakash Parkar, spinners Prashant Solanki, Atharva Ankolekar and Shams Mulani.
